For Your Listening (and Dancing) Pleasure

We've just begun another extremely important part of the wedding planning process: selecting the fine ladies and gentlemen who will be providing the dulcet tones which will serve as the backdrop to our actual ceremony and later the joyous and invigorating music we'll be dancing to. If you've ever seen myself and my lovely fiancee at a wedding you know we like to cut a rug.

Dancing... sort of.

The hacienda owners have supplied us with some samples of musicians in their area they've had dealings with, so we've begun listening to figure out what we're looking for. Dicussions so far have come up with the consensus that we'd love something a little more simple and mellow for the ceremony, with classical guitarists and a harpist being some of the things we've hoped for.

For the reception we're looking for something that everyone can dance to. After all, even if I knew how to tango I'm not sure I'd want to be doing it the whole night. We both agree that a DJ is far from ideal, but so far we've got a few prospects in mind. Regrettably we only have a song or two from each artist available to us online but when we head down to Mexico in November we plan on tracking some of these people (and any other possible musicians) down and checking out their tunes!
